Repair
LMIS Huntsville houses one of the U.S. Navy’s premiere depot repair operations. We were established in 1980 to serve all Navy and Coast Guard vessels equipped with the Mark 92 Gun and Guided Missile Fire Control System. Our charter is to provide low-cost, high-quality, rapid turnaround repair services for more than 2000 individual part numbers in the following categories:
  • Printed Circuit Cards, both analog and digital.
  • Electronic Assemblies.
  • Power Supplies.
  • Electromechanical Assemblies.
  • Mechanical Assemblies.
In addition, we have become the ‘depot of last resort’ for a variety of legacy and orphan systems installed on old US and allied ships. When no one else can affect repairs, send the module to Huntsville has become a common response to unusual repair requirements.

We can repair modules to simply function properly, without regard to appearance, or we can restore a module to like-new Class A condition, as specified by our customers.

Our 30,000 square foot repair operations area includes:

  • 43 module repair stations.
  • Three types of computer-aided test systems.
  • A machine shop.
  • A paint room.
  • Certification to soldering specifications of MIL-STD-2000 and IPC J-Std 002.
  • Adequate storage space for received, in-process and ready-to-shop modules.
